American electro psych duo The Vacant Lots must have been waiting for the right moment to share their scuzzy new single, 'Suicide Note' featuring lead vocals by Suicide's Alan Vega, who sadly passed away last year. Just a few weeks before Vega’s unexpected passing, guitarist and vocalist Jared Artaud visited Vega’s apartment to play him their new record. Vega was set to write and record vocals for 'Suicide Note'. Following his death, the band was allowed to go through Vega’s old material and found the perfect track to pair with the song’s pre-existing instrumentation. Though twinged with a sense of bittersweetness, the track is energetic and upbeat showing Vega at his rambling best on top of a sea of fuzzed-out guitars, old school-sounding organs, squelching synthesizers and shimmering tambourines. 'Suicide Note' is taken from The Vacant Lot's upcoming new album, Endless Night, which is due out later this month on Metropolis Records. - HLMX
